Loaded like a mule.
According to our information, a 37-year-old man was arrested this Saturday at Montparnasse station with 26 kg of cannabis in his luggage.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, the thirty-year-old was taken into police custody.
Contacted, the Paris prosecutor's office confirmed the arrest and seizure of the drugs.
“The investigation was entrusted to the narcotics brigade of the regional directorate of the judicial police (DRPJ),” he specifies.
Weed wrapped in aluminum foil
It was around midday that the man with two suitcases caught the eye of the police from the Ile-de-France network brigade (BRF) who decided to check him.
When they asked him to show them the contents of his luggage, the suspect was unable to open it.
A reaction which questions the police officers who decide to arrest the Dominican for receiving stolen goods, unable to explain himself.
Once arrived at their premises, the police call in a dog from the dog brigade to check the contents of the suitcases.
But these are so well packaged that the canine's nose is defeated.
The officials therefore decide to open the luggage themselves.
Inside, they discovered a large quantity of weed wrapped in aluminum foil.
And probably understand why their owner seemed reluctant to open them.
