The Adelshofen fire department is to get a new vehicle.

Because the current fire-fighting group vehicle (LF 8/6) is getting old, a relief group vehicle (HLF 10) is being purchased at the request of the fire department.

Adelshofen – However, this costs almost half a million euros and requires some advance planning.

The goal is to purchase between 2026 and 2028.

The LF 8/6 was built in 1995. According to the fire department, the annual cost of repairs is increasing.

The rear pump was repaired on our own in 2023.

However, replacing the roller shutters on the vehicle and replacing a hose are still on the agenda.

This has so far been postponed.

Large road network

According to the fire department, the purchase of an HLF 10 is also supported by district fire officer Christoph Gasteiger.

The reason: The community has a large road network with a lot of commuter traffic and some accident hotspots.

Such a vehicle is just as suitable for such operations as it is for fire operations at objects with a weak fire-fighting water supply - such as the Jesenwang airfield or the Adelshofen riding stables.

An additional hose can be installed on the HLF 10.

Advice

The local council supports the wishes of the defense force.

Now you have to plan.

“We will set up a vehicle committee and commission an office to tender,” says Mayor Robert Bals (ANL electoral association).

This office is intended to advise the municipality.

The investment will probably appear in the municipal budget between 2026 and 2028.

In addition, the committee approved replacement purchases for the current year for a total of 79,000 euros for the community's three fire departments.

Overall, the community needs to invest well.

This includes three PTO generators, which are intended to ensure the energy supply as part of disaster control, as well as a portable pump from the Luttenwanger Weir.
