You have until March 30 to treat yourself to a moment of contemporary literature almost at home.
For its fifteenth edition, the Hors Limites festival offers literary events in 30 towns in the department.
This event, organized by the Seine-Saint-Denis library association, will bring together more than a hundred authors for moments of exchange with the public, in different formats.
Many meetings in libraries and bookstores are on the program, such as this Saturday March 16, at 11 a.m., at the Romainville media library, with Alice Renard, young prodigy writer, author of “Anger and Envy”, or Wednesday 20 March, at 7 p.m., at the La P'tite Denis bookstore in Saint-Denis, with the Sequano-Dyonisian author Sylvain Pattieu.
Let us also mention the participation of Marguerite Abouet, and her mischievous heroine Akissi, inspired by her childhood in Abidjan in Ivory Coast, on Wednesday March 27, at 5:30 p.m., at the Elsa-Triolet library, in Pantin.
A little literary journey with Marie Ndiaye
Among the other gems of this 15th edition, performances, musical readings and the now traditional “bibliotourbus” (Saturday March 23, departure at 2 p.m.).
Departing from the Gare du Nord in Paris, take a seat in a shuttle, for three literary stops in the libraries of Seine-Saint-Denis, in good company.
This trip will in fact be an opportunity to discover or deepen your knowledge of the work of an illustrious author, Marie Ndiaye, in her presence.
His abundant work was rewarded with the Femina Prize in 2001, the Goncourt in 2009 and the Marguerite-Yourcenar Prize in 2020, for all of his work.
The bibliotourbus will pass through the media libraries of Bobigny, Saint-Denis and Saint-Ouen.
Each year, this original festival, which celebrates rich and living literature, brings together around 5,000 participants around the authors of the selection.
