For ten years, the mayor (Horizons) of the 9th arrondissement has been leading the project to include the know-how of roofers and zinc workers as UNESCO intangible heritage.
The elected official is currently campaigning, while the response is expected in December.
“The file is being evaluated by a group of experts elected by the committee,” explains Fumiko Ohinata, from UNESCO.
The file could be refused.
