It was a little before 10 p.m. this Friday evening when the police had to intervene on avenue Albert-Sarraut, in Goussainville, for a brawl between around thirty individuals in front of one of the mosques in the town frequented by the Turkish community.
Arriving on site, the police had to use a tear gas grenade and a de-encirclement grenade to put an end to the incidents.
Three participants in the brawl had injuries after being stabbed.
Hit in the arm and shoulder respectively, without seriousness, two 21-year-old men were evacuated to the Gonesse hospital center.
A third, aged 23, was more seriously injured in the back, presenting a suspected perforation of the lung.
He was taken care of by the Smur teams and transported, in absolute emergency but without a life-threatening prognosis, to the La Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital (Paris 13th arrondissement).
A bad look at the origin of the fight?
According to the victims, a dispute took place in the mosque grounds between two groups of the Turkish community, who went out into the street to explain themselves.
An argument perhaps linked to a bad look exchanged, which therefore degenerated and gave rise to a brawl between around thirty people, one of whom used a knife.
The victims did not wish to file a complaint, nor communicate information on the identity of their attacker, who fled.
Large police forces were deployed on site, and a security system at Gonesse hospital was put in place while the victims were being treated, in order to avoid further clashes.
