It will be stormy in Bavaria this weekend, and there are official weather warnings for large parts of the Free State - an overview.
Munich - Bavaria is facing a stormy weekend in some regions, the German Weather Service (DWD) has issued official warnings.
The south is particularly affected.
There the DWD warns of squalls (colored orange on the warning map).
“Storm gusts with speeds between 70 km/h and 85 km/h occur from the west above 1500 m.
In exposed locations, heavy gusts of up to 90 km/h must be expected,” it says.
The warning has been in effect since Saturday, March 16, at 6 a.m. and is valid until 8 p.m.
It will be stormy in Bavaria on Saturday, March 16th.

German weather service warns of squalls in Bavaria
The DWD points out possible dangers: “Danger from individual falling branches;
flying objects.
Recommendations for action: secure free-standing objects (e.g. screens and furniture);
e.g. attach tents and covers;
Watch out for falling objects (e.g. branches) when outdoors,” is the recommendation.

In numerous other cities and districts, a warning for gusts of wind is in effect until 6 p.m. on Saturday.
In addition to Augsburg, Passau and Cham, the state capital Munich is also affected.
The DWD also points out possible dangers here and gives recommendations for action: “Note that light objects are flying around.
Recommendations for action: secure loose objects;
e.g. attach tents and covers.”
There are no warnings for the north of the Free State, for example Coburg and Bad Kissingen.
It seems to remain quiet there on Saturday.
