“It’s unbearable, it’s unthinkable”: Arnauld Lhomme, administrator of Action Protection Animale, comments on the terrible images that a young woman sent to his association.
We see her ex-partner hitting, twisting their paws and throwing cats in the air.
The images were filmed by a surveillance camera discreetly installed by the young woman who was worried about the fearful behavior of her cats, which she took into her home via an association that helps felines found on the street.
“In 2022, her cat died after she found it in a cupboard drooling, in a pitiful state”, and without the veterinarian being able to explain the causes of death, explains Arnauld Lhomme.
“The young woman had decided to take in four cats as a foster family after the death of hers,” continues the administrator of Action Protection Animale.
But quickly, the behavior of his new four-legged friends questions him.
“When she came back in the evening, they were much more fearful than when she left them in the morning.”
So she installs a surveillance camera in her living room.
And when she watches the images, she is terrified.
She discovers her companion violently attacking animals.
The frightened cats scream and take refuge under the furniture to escape the young man who tries by all means to catch them and torture them.

“She immediately filed a complaint and left this man,” explains Arnauld Lhomme, whose association also received these videos and broadcast part of them on his Instagram account.
The executioner, who is “a concierge in a hotel and who takes out customers' dogs”, ended up admitting that he had also caused the death of his partner's former cat, in 2022. “He was tried for this act of cruelty resulting in the death of an animal, which is punishable by 5 years in prison and a fine of 75,000 euros,” continues Arnauld Lhomme, whose association has become a civil party.
The young man was tried in appearance on prior admission of guilt (CRPC) by the Évry court and was sentenced to “5 months suspended prison sentence and a ban on keeping an animal for 5 years”, explains Arnauld Lhomme.
“We didn't even get a fine and a 5-month suspended sentence... In five years, this individual will be able to take an animal back and torture it,” the administrator annoys.
The four cats do not suffer from fractures but are “traumatized”, estimates the association.
They were placed with another foster family.
