, all-wheel drive vehicles are normally tested, the two are expected to break speeds of almost 100 km/h on ice skates - powered by twelve battery-operated leaf blowers.
This is not the first daring venture for Andreas Gabalier.
Most recently, he was pulled over a ski slope by drone.
He also has experience on ice skates: “As a passionate ice hockey player, I have enough ice skating experience to rock the thing.” The musician also knows that twelve fans will drive him faster than his own legs: “But at high speed Riding Lapland’s ice is of course in a different league of its own.”

That's why both Andreas Gabalier and Nicole Schmidhofer have been training for the world record experiment since January.
To ensure safety, the area surrounding the route will also be cordoned off extensively.
A team of experts from Austria is also traveling to take a close look at the 1.2 kilometer long ice rink so that not a single unevenness remains that could lead to a fall.
