Danny Khezzar, eliminated in the second episode, he managed the feat of subsequently beating all the outgoing competitors.

He had thus won eleven duels, commanding the admiration of Hélène Darroze!

Thanks to his victory in this parallel competition, Danny was able to re-enter “Top Chef” with Hélène Darroze, by surprise, during the quarter-finals.

The duo then reached the final where the candidate was finally beaten by Hugo Riboulet, big winner of season 14.

The young man, who officiates in Michel Roth's Michelin-starred Bayview restaurant in Geneva, left a message for the chef in “The Unexpected Journal”.

“Hello Hélène, I hope you are well, it’s a little hello, it’s Danny.

We'll see you soon, next week for the 4 hands but it's just to thank you.

It's already been a year since

aired and it's pretty crazy how much I've learned.

There really was something that clicked, I think, with the emotion in the dishes, we've already talked about it a lot, but it was just a little nod to say hello."

Hélène Darroze, with a smile on her lips throughout the message, reacted just afterwards to this surprise on Nathalie Renoux's microphone:

“Danny, he's a wonderful person, it was a joy to work with him
