Attorney Ran Tager from the Protest Detainee Organization, who represents one of the detainees, responded: "We are sorry to see that week after week, the Israel Police insists on making political arrests, without any reason for arrest.
The proof of this is that the courts immediately release all of our clients, despite the unreasonable arrest requests submitted by the police. It is clear that there is a guiding hand from above for all these unnecessary arrests, which only illustrates how bleak the situation in the country is."
Attorney Gabi Lasky, who represents another suspect, said that "today the Magistrate's Court in Hadera ruled that the police arrested a protester in bad faith. It seems that the decision to sing the activists in a night arrest is also in bad faith, and gives off a bad smell of political arrests."
