Karin Sonnenstuhl celebrated her 25th anniversary at the Penzberg Clinic
Sonnenstuhl began her work in the surgical department of the Penzberg Clinic 25 years ago.
After a short time in the rehabilitation clinic in Bad Heilbrunn, she returned to the intensive care unit at the Penzberg Clinic.
She gained her first experience with palliative medicine ten years ago after a palliative case in her own family, according to the statement.
During this time, the desire to improve the situation for the palliative patients in the Penzberg Clinic arose.
After training in palliative care in 2014, she began building the team.
To this end, she offered several in-house training courses.
According to the statement, she also attended the Penzberg consultation several times.

The woman celebrating her birthday is currently supporting the Penzberg palliative care team one day a week, according to the Starnberg clinics.
Sonnenstuhl also works as a coordinator for the outpatient hospice service in Polling.
Thanks to this connection, she enables her colleagues from the clinic to visit the Polling hospice and thus improves networking.
In 2017, Sonnenstuhl introduced an annual memorial service at the Penzberg Clinic for the relatives of those who died in the clinic.
According to the Starnberg clinics, this has been very well received by everyone involved.
The celebrant is also a member of the ethics committee at the Penzberg Clinic.
In 2021 she deepened her knowledge as part of dementia care training.
