Emergency call early in the morning: Agricultural hall is completely on fire
The integrated control center was informed about the fire at around 5:45 a.m. on Saturday.
“When the emergency services from the regional fire brigades and the patrol crew from the Laufen police station who had also been alerted arrived, an agricultural hall was already fully ablaze.
“Thanks to the rapid and professional intervention of the emergency services from the surrounding fire departments, the flames were largely prevented from spreading to neighboring buildings,” the police press release said.
One resident suffered smoke intoxication during the fire.
Two firefighters were also slightly injured.
Fortunately, the animals that were rescued from the stables in time appear to be unharmed.
However, the fire also destroyed fodder and agricultural machinery in addition to the building.
As already mentioned, the damage is estimated at a six-figure amount.
