On the other hand, they are looking for new helpers who can support the team on a voluntary basis with technical skills, the BRK announced in a press release.

The service includes a whole range of offers, says the BRK.
For example, replacing light bulbs, connecting lamps, fixing wardrobes.
The volunteer do-it-yourselfers also offer to hang up curtain rods, blinds, pictures, mirrors and shelves.
Even technical support, such as setting up televisions, recorders and radios.
Repairs to cupboards, chairs, tables, bicycles and the repair of paint damage complete the offer.

Each activity lasts a maximum of two hours.
This is intended to guarantee that there is no competition with established craft businesses, says the BRK.
They just want to offer “additional support with a personal touch”.
The DIY service is free of charge.
The clients only bear the material costs themselves.
According to the BRK, anyone who wants to get involved as a do-it-yourselfer should have technical knowledge and enjoy working with and for other people.
The focus is on the motivation to help others.
The BRK accepts the helpers as voluntary members and thus guarantees comprehensive insurance coverage, according to the statement.
Regular exchange meetings, further training courses and thank-you and honor ceremonies are also offered.
