A demonstration in Eching near Freising next Wednesday, March 20th will set a bright example against right-wing extremism and anti-Semitism.

Eching

- “Stand up against all right-wing extremism and anti-Semitism!” Under this motto, an action alliance from civil society, religious communities, the community and associations in the community of Eching invites you to come to Bürgerplatz next Wednesday, March 20th, from 6:30 p.m.

“We are experiencing a brutalization of our society in many areas, which is reflected in the extreme views of individuals,” emphasizes Daniela Kirschstein from the Vhs Eching-Allershausen, which organized the light demonstration.

The result is exclusion and hate speech and even violence against certain population groups.

“Neither the state nor we as an enlightened civil society can stand idly by and take countermeasures at this development.” With the light demonstration, the community wants to prove that there are many people on site who are concerned about the current developments and who are against them stand up.

Contributions welcome - prior registration required

There is support for the campaign from Eching's mayor Sebastian Thaler.

The town hall boss thanks everyone who helps organize this campaign: “Tolerance is an important building block in a peaceful society.

With this campaign we as a community want to send a sign of peace and call for dialogue.”

Kirschstein wants the participants to “bring LED lamps, fairy lights, cell phone flashlights and everything else that lights up!

Together we are loud and send a bright signal against hatred and agitation.” Anyone who would like to take part with actions, music or speeches is invited to do so as part of the demo.

Daniela Kirschstein asks that you register contributions in advance, preferably by email to

.

The action in Eching continues the series of demonstrations in the district.

In Freising, around 4,000 visitors showed a clear stance against enemies of democracy at Marienplatz in January.

In Hallbergmoos in February, 300 people sent a strong message against right-wing extremism.
