Highlights: Divine fun with a catchy tune guaranteed: That's what the Olching Strong Beer Festival was like. Over 800 guests came to the Amperhalle, with Kolping chairman Gigl in the front right. In the first Singspiel of the evening, Olching's building culture is eagerly criticized. True to the motto: Everyone can do whatever they want here anyway. The selection of songs in the almost three-hour program (with several encores) was quite ingenious. Almost like an Oktoberfest hit recipe, so to speak.

On political Olympus: Herkugigles (l.) and Magg, the father of the gods, fought a duel of sayings at its finest.

Goblin alarms, rapping building contractors, SPD riots and mayor gods in the haze of self-absorption: all this and so much more was on offer at the Olching Strong Beer Festival.

The atmosphere in the hall, which had been pimped up into a ballroom, was great.

Olching

– mustache, bib apron, flat cap: you would have thought that Gustl Bayrhammer himself was coming to the stage in the Amperhalle.

But it is strong beer festival veteran Eugen Sollinger who is back and plays the famous master Eder, who is also experiencing a revival.

He's looking for his red-headed friend.

“Pumuckl, Puuuumuckl!

Go, now stop the nonsense and tell me where you are,” he complains.

And suddenly, with the familiar sound, plop, plop, plop, the goblin appears (deliciously played by Maxi Bauer).

What is he doing here far away from the Munich workshop?

Well, it's clear: the Pumuckl is where the chaos is greatest.

In Olching.

Entire “generation without concrete”: Olching’s container children

Hooray!

So the derblecken begins in front of 824 guests, almost all city council members and local celebrities.

At the Klabautermann, now it's time to distribute.

There are the never-ending road construction sites (in goblin language: “Hehe, more holes and more”).

And then the disaster surrounding the containers for the high school.

District Administrator Thomas Karmasin, who was apparently excused due to the lack of young people, didn't hear any vows of love this time (the Ratschkathln have retired), but rather one verbal wad after another.

It sounds something like this: “We hired the worst planner in the district.

The operating company has pocketed millions.” Thunderous applause.

Only Eder could see the goblin: he was talking to the angry mothers of the container children.

But well, the Olching children are used to containers, as two mothers (Katja Gemmeke and Christine Reinert) warmly describe to Eder.

“My older one was already in the container elementary school in Graßlfing, and before that in the container kindergarten in Schwaigfeld.” By the way, it’s really true and a celebration for the Pumuckl: “A whole generation without concrete,” says Maxi Bauer in a childish, hoarse tone .

Completely sold out: Over 800 guests came to the Amperhalle, with Kolping chairman Gigl in the front right.

In the first Singspiel of the evening by program director Philipp Kroneberg and Katja Gemmeke, Olching's building culture is eagerly criticized.

True to the motto: Everyone can do whatever they want here anyway.

The selection of songs in the almost three-hour program (with several encores) was quite ingenious.

Everyone knows the melodies played by Harry Zethner and his band.

The lyrics are snappy and the verses have the potential to be catchy.

Almost like an Oktoberfest hit recipe, so to speak.

And again and again: great singers and actors.

Scandal at the new Olchinger newsletter: Simon Decker, Pia Jaki and Sigi Kretschmann are taking aim at this.

These go directly into each other anyway.

For example, when singer Michael Gebauer, a well-known building owner whose name cannot be mentioned, raps to the popular song “Wildberry Lillet”.

With sunglasses, caps and lines like: “I want real estate, I want dollars, here in Olching I can do anything.” Or when the Graßlfinger farmers dance across the stage with a cardboard Fendt around their waist and to the STS classic “Fürstenfeld” give their recycling center tours through the city.

“Our streets are old, sometimes there is no asphalt, but the streets that are empty make it easy to avoid them.” And Michael Schrodi's freak out in the Bundestag sounds here as a “cry for love” (Doctors).

By the way, the “SPD riot” had also happened.

The Ballermann sing-along song Jonny Däpp becomes “Magg, Magg, Magg, Andi Magg.”

Olching as the cradle of Europe

Florian Schalk, also program director, will focus on Olching's political personalities in the second Singspiel of the evening.

The title: “Gods in Olympus”.

Father of the gods Magg (Michael Schwimmbeck) floats across the stage again in a legendary way, as if the boards weren't worth touching.

In the duel with opponent Herkugigles (Maxi Bauer again as deputy mayor Maximilian Gigl), one crackerjack spell follows the next (see below).

Then Magg comes out of his cloud of arrogance: “Do you know what the people of Olching call my diary?

Guinness Book of Records.” The real mayor grins bravely in the audience as always.

The “Sir” is also part of the strong beer festival inventory.

Fairy tale uncle Ernst Schwimmbeck explains that Olching is essentially the cradle of Europe.

And the fact that there are two who have been there from the beginning is also taken to heart: Tomas Bauer and Ewald Zachmann (very funny played by the graying Michael Meyer and Florian Schalk).

Both have shaped local politics for 45 years and danced across the stage arm in arm.

Maria Hartl (Melanie Holzmann) presented her latest hobby in a Santa costume: protesting against the collapse in traffic caused by the Fursty conversion.

And “Die Freudenstein” (Sigi Kretschmann) from the Greens wants to become mayor.

After various mudslinging in the newsletter.

One question causes absolute panic: Where else can you eat Bavarian here?

Speaking of which: Simon Decker, Sigi Kretschmann and Pia Jaki really take aim at this.

There is a lot of scandal going on in the editorial office.

“Death Mile Main Street” is how the reporter reflects on the rampant vacancies and the death of restaurants.

Actual panic arises when you get a call: Someone wanted to know where you can go out to eat in Olching?

Midday.

Bavarian.

“The only thing left is the Hendlgrill at Edeka, or the Leberkas roll.”

Practical jokes with the singers: They did a great job and didn't change their faces despite the puff.

The tasting at the Kolping Family Strong Beer Festival is a lot more demanding.

One person who has been making sure that no one is left high and dry for 25 years is “Sir” (Helmut Sammer) from the drinks shop.

Kolping Chairman Maximilian Gigl particularly emphasized this in his welcome.

He also thanks the “huge team effort” of the around 50 helpers.

The fact that the event was completely sold out is a “huge compliment” to the new generation of strong beer festivals.

There was also a big compliment from the real Tomas Bauer.

“The best strong beer festival ever,” he enthused.

And really not just because it happened so often.

A selection of the actors' best sayings and gags

  • “You should build a wall around Gröbenzell and let it stew in its own juice.” (Pumuckl on the end of fiber optics)

  • “Paulusgruam.

My...this is and remains a dynamic Power Point presentation.” (One of the mothers of the Paulusgrube)

  • “Progress in Olching is so slow.

If he were to ride on the back of a snail, the one with his hair tousled by the wind would shout Huuuiii." (Pumuckl)

  • “And the city councilors don't know where their free beer drinks are.

The free beer brands were tied to the beer contract with the brewery.

That's why the Hörl Andi couldn't sleep at all." (Master Eder for the beer at the Volksfest, the Pumuckl then asked whether the city councilors could now jump on the trampoline for free for a week.)

  • “Girtner once offered the farmer a cup of her tea during a heated debate about the purchase of cargo bikes as an alternative to the school bus and said: If you were my husband, I would mix poison into it!

The farmer replied: If you were my wife, then I would drink it.” (newspaper).

  • “Only one person manages to achieve phenomenal results in every election, namely our god of potatoes, the Neumeier Seppi.” (Herkugigles, who then starts offering potatoes for sale.)

  • “Remember: I never forget.

Because I can even remember tomorrow.” The father of the gods, Andreas Magg

  • “My candidacy for district administrator only follows the recommendation of the last strong beer festival.” (Godfather Magg)

  • “You with your eternal saving!

Suddenly there isn't even a beer in the fridge at city council meetings.

From a purely legal perspective, beer is the easiest drink of all on the stomach.

I demand it back!” (Tomas Bauer)

  • “Colleague Girtner has at least made an official request to get her beloved mango spritzer back.

She actually knows best from the Eco Party that mangoes don’t grow at all in our part of the world.” (Andreas Magg)

  • “I have to see what my Herkugigle protégé is doing.

After all, I am his political mom.” (Maria Hartl)

  • “If the CSU wants something, it will happen no matter what.

And if she doesn't want something, it will be rejected.

    Always this double standard.” (Zachmann).
