Nobly decorated ostrich eggs, high-alcohol drinks from the Woid and ceramic bunnies: many people got in the mood for the festival at the Fürstenfeld Easter market.

Fürstenfeldbruck

- The masses flocked to Fürstenfeld far beyond the district borders - to shop, look and feast.

“We expect around 4,500 visitors, that’s how it has become established,” says organizer Florian Saur.

62 exhibitors presented craftsmanship from local companies to as far away as Romania.

When asked about his favorite stand, Saur doesn't have to think for long: "The variety of chocolate stands is nice and there are also all sorts of little things and souvenirs for the children."

Last but not least, he was impressed by the high-proof refinements of the Woidbrennerei Kerschbaum.

The Woidbrennerei has been traveling from Hinterschmiding since 2022 and “brings atmosphere to the market,” says Saur happily.

Sommelier Gregor Freund distills the liqueurs, schnapps and brandies himself and the 27 soap scents are also house brand.

When asked about the hit of the Easter season, Freund explains: “Woid Gin is very well received – it has the natural aromas of the forest and nothing artificial.”

Anyone who wanted to stay sober when it came to Easter presents was well advised when it came to ceramics at Atelier Fei.

Elke Kuschel and daughter Annabel bought a tasteful handmade vase as a souvenir for her grandma.

“Grandma loves pottery work,” the Gröbenzellers know.

The Romanian Stela Mehabeniuc demonstrated Slavic artistry.

Their ostrich, goose, duck and quail eggs are true treasures.

Using batik or wax techniques, the 22-year-old spent countless hours at home with her grandmother and mother creating her colorful and fragile creations.

“It takes about a week to make an ostrich egg that costs 130 euros,” says the artist, who is exhibiting at the Fürstenfeld Easter market for the first time.

When it comes to Easter decorations, friends Sylvia Schnabel and Annemarie Lutz are spoiled for choice.

“We are school friends and have known each other our whole lives.

“We always hang around here,” say the 70-year-olds.

They visit the Easter market together every year and have just bought a ceramic football Easter bunny.

There were creative and magical suggestions for the little visitors at Norbert and Carina's craft stand.

Here, generations could try their hand at making flower crowns, stringing beaded bracelets out of healing stones or shaping alpacas out of felt.

“We are an interactive team,” explains Norbert.

“We would be happy if the children were able to experience not only the school system, but also life in a variety of ways.” Five-year-old Ben Pfeifer is working with great concentration on a string of beads: “That’s really nice – it’s fun,” says little Brucker enthusiastically.

There is delicious cocoa at Claudia Huber’s stand.

With shining eyes, the chocolatière from Maisach explains how she makes everything from the finest ingredients.

Whether refined with fleur de sel or with pink pepper: “The secret is the good ingredients, the good chocolate.” One would like to believe how much work the whole milk chicks decorated with white chocolate require.

“You can easily stand there for an hour for ten Biberl - it doesn't actually pay off at all, but I love the job.” In terms of atmosphere, the Easter market paid off for exhibitors and visitors - hardly anyone didn't have an original souvenir for the Easter table could purchase.
