Tour along the Alterherrenweg with the stroller
The starting point of this picturesque route is at the Laber valley station at Ludwig-Lang-Straße 59. From here, hikers can enjoy a wonderful view over the vast moorlands of the Pulvermoos and of the impressive Ammergau mountains such as the Laber, the Kofel and the Teufelstättkopf .
The Altherrenweg leads gently uphill to Romanshöhe (959 m), where there is a cozy inn that is open on weekends and invites you to take a break.

Along the way to Unterammergau, the route to the train station is well signposted, from where families can easily return by train.
Alternatively, the tour can also be undertaken in the opposite direction, from Unterammergau to Oberammergau.
Thanks to public transport, getting to and from Altherrenweg is comfortable and uncomplicated.
