The municipality of Neufahrn is giving the starting signal for the folk festival season in the Freising district: it's all happening from April 10th.
The festival program was presented at the beer tasting.
Neufahrn
– In less than a month, the municipality of Neufahrn will be opening the folk festival season in the Freising district.
The beer required for this was now tasted by the local council in the Gasthof Maisberger.
Mayor Franz Heilmeier demonstrated his skills at the “O'zapfa”: with two skillful blows he sank the tap into the beer barrel.
The liquid gold again comes from the Au castle brewery - a full beer made from Hallertau aromatic hops with 4.9 percent alcohol.
Cost factor: 10.80 euros (twenty cents more than last year).
The negotiations between both parties did not last long.
After the collaboration fell on the brewery from Hallertau for the first time in 2023, a positive conclusion was drawn.
Brewery owner Willibald Beck Freiherr von Peccoz gave special praise to the Bauhof employees.
They helped with security work that was necessary due to the rain-plagued festival.
He also mentioned the good implementation of a new security concept.
As a result, there were no negative incidents and the beer was also very well received by the population.
This should happen again from April 10th to 14th, when the Volksfestplatz will once again smell of almonds and cotton candy.
Every day offers a different program so there is something for everyone.
Starting with the amusement park, which this year attracts with break dancing, hooping, a small Ferris wheel as well as bumper cars and shooting galleries.
The starting signal is on Wednesday, April 10th, at 5:30 p.m. on the Neufahrn market square with a stand concert and tapping.
But there is a change in the most important place.
After the popular band “Dolce Vita” stopped last year, a replacement was needed – and it’s a tough one.
The popular party band “Nachtstark” comes to the festival tent on “Youth Day” (Thursday).
In the afternoon, children can look forward to discounts on the rides and in the marquee.
On Fridays there is the seniors' afternoon, before the "Business Day" begins with country music from "Delta Line".
The popular Schafkopf tournament takes place on Saturday from 1.30 p.m., and “back to you” – the party band from Zolling – promises an exuberant atmosphere in the evening.
The afternoon is also all about family, as there are some discounts in the festival tent.
On Sunday it will be more comfortable.
The local “Schotter-Blosn” and the “Kohlstatt-Musikanten” play at the end.
There will be no fireworks.
