A cryptic message and a painful verdict.
Rapper Zola deactivated his Instagram account this Saturday, after the announcement by the Vesoul court on Thursday of the release, as part of a suspended prison sentence, of the septuagenarian who fatally mowed down his mother in June 2023, while she was cycling.

Before suspending his Instagram account, the rapper posted a cryptic message, leading some of his fans to fear that the artist would like to take justice into his own hands.
“They released the killer, eh, mom.
They did that to you, eh my queen, ah yeah eh?

“Zola, call me bro [brother], those who love Zola, call him or go to his house,” reacted rapper Kalash, still on Instagram, further fueling fans’ concerns in recent hours .

The Vesoul court on Thursday March 14 sentenced the 75-year-old motorist who caused the fatal accident to one year in prison with a simple suspended sentence, as well as the cancellation of his license for six months, reports l'Est Républicain .
The man will also have to compensate the victim's son to the tune of 35,000 euros.
The rapper's mother died at the age of 55 while cycling to work in Lure (Haute-Saône) while traveling on the cycle path.
