Two cars collided head-on between Niederroth and Markt Indersdorf on Saturday evening.

Both drivers had to be taken to hospital with injuries.

Indersdorf - A serious traffic accident occurred on Saturday evening, March 16th, between Niederroth and Markt Indersdorf.

For reasons that are still unclear, two cars collided head-on on State Road 2050.

When the emergency services arrived, it turned out that, contrary to the first alarm report, no passengers were trapped in the vehicles.

However, the two drivers suffered injuries and were looked after by the fire department and the rescue service.

After receiving initial medical care from the emergency services, they were taken to clinics for further treatment.

One driver has to be transported with the additionally alerted rescue helicopter.

The fire department took over traffic security and ensuring fire protection.

During the rescue and cleanup work, the state road had to be closed to traffic until around 7:30 p.m.

In addition to the police and emergency services, the Indersdorf, Niederroth and Röhrmoos fire departments as well as the district fire inspection were on duty.

One of the two injured people had to be transported away by rescue helicopter.
