Saturday March 16, the Austrian Martin Sellner, one of the faces of the European identity movement, was arrested by the Swiss police when he was supposed to speak at a meeting organized by the small group Junge Tat in the small village of Tegerfelden, about forty kilometers northwest of Zurich.
“In order to ensure public safety and avoid clashes with people from the opposing camp, the speaker (...) was arrested and expelled from the canton”
of Aargau, the cantonal police said in a press release.
Junge Tat is a small group known for its resolute opposition to non-European immigrants and Islam, supporter of the great replacement theory.
The Swiss intelligence services highlighted in 2021
“the high potential for recourse to violence”
within this small group.
The expulsion of Martin Sellner by the cantonal police of Aargau and the messages sent by the Austrian to denounce his treatment attracted the attention of Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of the X network.
“Is it legal?”
, he asked himself.
