The A 99 is to be expanded to six lanes between the Munich-Südwest motorway junction and the Allacher Tunnel.

Germering/Freiham – The plans for the first section between Germering and Freiham are well advanced and will soon be presented to the approval authorities.

At the 5th Freiham Forum on Thursday, March 21st, citizens will be informed about the details for the first time.

The adjacent landscape park is also a topic at the event.

As the Freiham district management reports, Autobahn GmbH Südbayern is planning to expand the section of road due to the high traffic load.

There are already frequent traffic jams and traffic jams as well as blockages in front of the tunnel.

As more people move into the new Munich district of Freiham, traffic will become even more dense.

Southwest triangle

The first step to be tackled is the approximately three kilometer long section between the south-west motorway triangle on the Lindau motorway and the south portal of the Aubinger Tunnel.

The conversion also affects the Freiham Mitte/Germering Mitte and Germering Nord exits.

The impact on the planned landscape park should be kept as low as possible.

When completed, Freiham will be home to around 25,000 citizens.

The 5th Freiham Forum begins on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Mitte Campus of the Freiham educational campus.

The focus is on the expansion of the A 99 and the landscape park.

Other topics relating to the emerging district will also be addressed, such as recycling containers, expansion of access roads and mobility stations.

The event will be broadcast online.
