The historic goalkeeper of the Argentine National Team,
Ubaldo Matildo Fillol
, was the victim of a robbery in his apartment in the Villa del Parque neighborhood.
The thieves
took their 1978 World Cup medals
and other valuables, as police sources confirmed to
Clarín
.
"Pato" reported to the City Police that last night he had left his home, located at 2700 Emilio Lamarca Street, around 9pm. When he returned this morning, he found that the apartment had been robbed.
"He found the place in disarray with
missing items inside
," detailed sources in the case.
Among the stolen items are
the medals from the 1978 World Cup
, in which he became champion with the National Team led by César Luis Menotti, and other awards he obtained throughout his extensive and successful career.
Upon arriving at the scene, agents from Neighborhood Police Station 11B of the Buenos Aires police verified that
the accesses were not violated
and initiated a case for robbery in the absence of residents, by order of the Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 13.
