The candidate from the Place publique - PS list Raphaël Glucksmann welcomed, this Sunday, the tone of Emmanuel Macron's remarks, reported by the Parisian Today in France.
In the exchange granted to Le Parisien, the president affirmed that “perhaps at a given moment – I do not wish it, will not take the initiative – it will be necessary to have operations on the ground, whatever they are, to counter the Russian forces.”
“Emmanuel Macron is right to emphasize the extremely serious nature of the situation,” commented Glucksmann in the BFM Politique program, in partnership with our newspaper.
Finally the President of the Republic changed course and took seriously the threat which weighed not only on Ukrainians, but on all Europeans.

“What the Ukrainians are asking us, and what the situation demands of us today, is not to send troops on the ground,” insisted the MEP.
“No one today is asking young French people to go and die for kyiv or Odessa.

During this program, Raphaël Glucksmann also made it known that he would not participate in the debate organized by CNews for this election at the end of May, believing that “it is an opinion channel which promotes far-right themes”.
