The most beautiful season, when everything is green and all the streams are flowing, has passed. From every place in the Hermon valley a view shines in white. I was born in the Katyusha generation. We knew how to tell the difference between a rocket explosion and a supersonic boom at the age of 6, and we replaced shrapnel with marbles at the age of 7. We have been away from home for half a year, with neighbors who are plotting to murder us, only a sharp and aggressive action by the IDF will bring us back home | Losing the North, third article in the series

I was born in the Katyusha generation.

At the age of six, I already knew the difference between the explosion of an anti-aircraft missile, a Katyusha, an exit, and a supersonic boom. At the age of seven, I collected

fragments as a hobby; we would exchange them for marbles. I was born into this world, with the echoes of explosions. No alarms, no alerts, just a whistle - followed by a resounding explosion, and a hope in my heart that it didn't hit the house, the parents' store, the houses of the uncles and cousins, friends. At the age of nine, I was happy with the final volley that sealed the withdrawal from Lebanon; at the age of 15, I experienced it all over again, with 100 times greater intensity, after six years of arming The northern stand.

We have been away from home for six months.

The most beautiful season, when everything is green and all the streams are flowing, has passed.

From every place in the Hermon valley a view shines in white.

The most worthwhile place in the Middle East.

Half a year away from there, after almost 20 years of lawlessness.

Israel's governments since 2006 have forgotten that somewhere, over the rainbow, there are tens of thousands of residents, who keep the northern border alive, kicking and thriving.

And on our side, tens of thousands of terrorists across the fence;

Skilled fighters, who slaughtered their Syrian brothers en masse and murdered about half a million people, and the hand is still bent.

These are the murderous eyes that look at me while I'm looking for parking in the gray, on streets that only the natives of the city know.

The questions don't stop floating since the October disaster.

What were they doing to us on the 7th of Northern October?

What was the extent of the casualties between Metula and Tiberias, between Margaliot and Nahariya?

18 years of security lawlessness in the north, and we have no answers.

I can tell, as a resident, about the difference between what we knew before the withdrawal and the escalation in 2006.

Who can tell me as a resident what will happen now, after 18 years of security lawlessness in the north?

After 18 years of the strengthening of a terrorist organization, which is already part of the neighboring country?

Whoever tries to explain to me that Hezbollah separated from the state of Lebanon, I will send him to look up "captive in conception" in the dictionary.

How will we return home, when these are our neighbors, and they are ready for action?

What will the residents who cannot afford to stay outside the city do - will they return to it to be the victims of the next failure?

The residents of the north expect sharp, aggressive, powerful action.

Political action?

Only if it is sharp, strong and powerful as well.

Otherwise no one will come back, no matter what "mass slaughter incentive grants" or "missile absorption basket" they hand out.

We will not abandon our children, we will not abandon our parents, we will not abandon ourselves.

We have been away from home for six months.

Justify it.

See you over the rainbow, when we win.
