As the final project of the 129th Herrschinger basic course on Wednesday in downtown Munich, 55 young people from green professions sought contact with citizens and gave them an understanding of their perspective on agriculture and society.

Under the motto “Heartbeat of Agriculture – Democratic.
Diverse.
Future-proof”, the basic course presents various information stands.
“It is very important to us to talk to consumers and to exchange ideas with them about various topics,” says Kemser.
By the way: Everything from the region is also available in our regular Schongau newsletter.
And in our Weilheim-Penzberg newsletter.
Together with her parents, she runs a dairy farm with 50 dairy cows and offspring.
“My heart is passionate about agriculture, which is why, after completing my master’s degree in home economics, I decided to learn to be a farmer,” she is quoted as saying in a statement.
She has also been running an Instagram account (vero_de_janeiro) for two years to give people insights into her everyday work life.
122,000 fans already follow her
A fan base of 122,000 followers has now been formed.
“I’m very pleased that people are so interested in the profession.
I hope that with my account I can help to further improve the image of agriculture,” says Kemser.
All news and stories can also be found on the Schongauer Nachrichten Facebook page.
There were a total of four different stations on the Munich Stachus.
In addition to a tasting stand with products from the course participants, the focus was on the three major topics of democracy, diversity and the future.
Interactive offers for young and old, opportunities to contribute their own opinions, as well as a clear representation of the various sectors of agriculture invited passers-by to talk to the young people.
For example, it was explained to what extent agriculture supports the democratic society, how wide the range is in Bavarian agriculture and what positive effects there are on climate protection thanks to digitalization and technical progress.
Finding personal and political values
One square meter of arable land also showed how many rolls can be made from the grain produced on it.

During the ten weeks of the basic course under the patronage of the Bavarian Farmers' Association, Kemser and her colleagues exchanged ideas and received further training.
There were conversations with politicians, lectures by exciting personalities and study trips to, for example, Berlin or Brussels.
Always with the aim of finding and consolidating personal and political values.
