Because of a broken doorbell, you might miss the postman or a visit from friends.

Improvisations were carried out on a Berlin apartment door.

The reactions were clear.

Berlin – Things don’t always go smoothly among neighbors.

Time and again, notes that are hung in the hallway or stairwell are evidence of trouble in the neighborhood.

This was also the case recently when a neighbor's note with nine exclamation marks was stuck in the hallway.

Another problem arose for a resident in Berlin: his doorbell was broken - but he found a very creative way to help.

Note warns: “Bell doesn’t work” – resident attaches original emergency solution to apartment door

The case became public on the Instagram account “Notes of Berlin”.

A photo taken in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin showed an apartment door.

Attached to it was a note with a handwritten message: “The bell doesn’t work.” But there was a plan B so that visitors would be noticed by the resident.

“Please honk instead!” was the instruction.

There was a rubber chicken in the mailbox slot that could be seen directly under the note, which served as an emergency bell.

“Sound solution,” wrote the creators of the post about their contribution.

And there were also many enthusiastic reactions to the honking replacement rubber bell in the comments section.

“Ahhh, great.

Funny idea,” it said.

Or also: “That’s so good” and “Love it”.

In addition, many users left a few crying with laughter emojis in the comments.

“The doorbell prank is particularly fun!” said another user.

“And so all the neighbors benefit from it,” said one user.

“Knocking might be easier,” another user speculated.

“Or shout 'Ding-Dong' loudly!” was another suggestion.

Detail on the apartment door raises questions: “Do you have to charge the bell-honk-chicken?”

Meanwhile, another Instagram user noticed something about the replacement bell: “A rubber chicken in - by all appearances - Bavarian costume is also special.

At least the Oktoberfest visit was worth it.”

And another detail raised questions.

“Why USB cable?” commented one user.

A black cable led out of the mailbox slot.

Where it ended was no longer visible in the snapshot.

“I would be interested to know what the charging cable is used for?” asked one user.

And added a solution: “Do you have to charge the bell-honk-chicken?

Questions upon questions...” The notice posted recently in another Berlin house warning of screaming was similarly confusing.

Reason for USB cable on rubber chicken bell remains unclear

The reason for attaching a USB cable to the rubber chicken was not explained in the article.

A recent look at a house wall showed that a not-quite-conventional bell can also look different.

There was a note hanging on a doorbell that contained a rather dangerous instruction manual.

The issue of doorbells is often a bone of contention when a package delivery does not reach the recipient in person.

But did you know that the DHL parcel delivery person no longer has to ring the bell?
