Would you have recognized him in first grade?
A visitor to Sylt spotted a legendary man on the train and got a selfie.
Sylt – An unusual photo in a Facebook group about the island of Sylt received more than 700 likes and dozens of comments.
It's in good hands there too.
Because one of the two is inextricably linked to the island: Jürgen Gosch (82) can be seen in the picture on the right.
In 1967 he quit his job as a bricklayer to move to Sylt and sell eels on the beach - the beginning of the Gosch fish restaurant chain, which everyone knows today, especially in the north.

Sylt visitor meets Jürgen Gosch – “I wouldn’t have expected it on the train now”
The gentleman on the left in the photo is Udo Knake, furniture designer and master carpenter.
He often goes to Sylt for work and was on the way there when he spotted the celebrity on the train.
“Everyone you meet on the train to Sylt... Nice selfie with Jürgen Gosch,” he writes on Facebook.
He asked the entrepreneur if he could take a photo together, who agreed.
“Everything was very spontaneous,” said Knake to our editorial team.
“I wasn’t expecting Jürgen Gosch on the train.” But he also discovered him without his charismatic accessory, which a Facebook user promptly pointed out: “Not with an apron.”
This is how you know him: Jürgen Gosch in his work outfit.

Jürgen Gosch rode the train in first class - Udo Knake was allowed to charge his cell phone there
He wouldn't have hit him if his phone hadn't been empty.
Because Gosch traveled first class, Knake in second.
But after consulting with the conductor, the furniture designer was allowed to go to the first one to charge his cell phone.
There he met fish legend Gosch.
“Jürgen Gosch joined in Niebüll.
I told him that Goschen (meaning dinner at Gosch, editor's note) was firmly planned for the evening with my better half, who had already been on the island for a few days.
That’s how it was (in Wenningstedt).”
He looks back positively on the train encounter with the celebrity.
“He was really nice.
He always is.
It's an institution on the island.
I've also seen him in his shops more often since we've been on the island regularly recently.
For the first time, I asked him for a selfie." It's not Knake's first photo together with a star - he shows our editorial team selfies with "Nord Nord Mord" star Oliver Wnuk and Die Fantastischen Vier rapper Smudo, which were taken on Sylt are.
On the latter you can still see the famous Zanzibar in the background.

Jürgen Gosch also travels by train - even though the train to Sylt is not always reliable.
At least the entrepreneur treats himself to first class.
While some find his Gosch snack chain legendary, others turn up their noses at the prices - or prefer the competition.
