1. Servietenviertel – Paris

Do you want to stroll through streets that give you the feeling of Paris while munching on a croissant?

Do you feel like sitting on the sidewalk in cute French cafés, drinking your café au lait and chowing down on A CROISSANT?

You don't have to go to Paris for this!

All you have to do is go to the Servitenviertel, the ninth district of Vienna, and enjoy a little bit of Paris in Vienna!

2. Cherry Blossom – Japan

My news

  • Tourists misbehave – city is now blocking vacationers from reading

  • Massive rock fall on Lake Garda: Huge rock thunders onto cars - shore road closed until further notice

  • Married couple hits lottery jackpot - but then three agonizing months begin

  • Swarm earthquake directly under residential area: Fear of supervolcano eruption in Italy grows

  • Italy's supervolcano causes shipwrecks

Few things convey spring to you like the cherry blossoms.

Cherry blossoms are a special festival, especially in Japan.

But if your wallet doesn't allow for the flight to Japan, you can also enjoy the natural spectacle in Vienna.

Go to the Danube Island or one of the Japanese gardens and relax under the blooming cherry blossoms!

3. Naschmarkt – bazaar vibes

If you're up for a more oriental vibe, take a look at the Naschmarkt.

While on one side there are only restaurants, on the other side of the market you can shop to your heart's content.

Spices, sweets, falafel, pickled vegetables and much more.

It almost feels a bit like a bazaar!

4. Schönbrunn Palace – Versailles

If you've ever been to Schönbrunn Palace, you might have thought to yourself, somehow I've seen this somewhere else.

Correct.

Schönbrunn Palace is similar in architecture to Versailles Palace.

Yes, it's not quite as impressive and the garden isn't quite as big either - but hey: Versailles doesn't have a Gloriette!

5. Nussberg – Tuscany

Not only southern Styria, but also Vienna is known for its vineyards and small wine bars in them, the Heurigen.

So if a trip to Tuscany isn't quite worth it, get on the bus, drive to the Nussberg and hike through the vines there and treat yourself to one or two drinks.

6. Danube Canal – Berlin

On the Vienna Danube Canal you can't just sit, enjoy the sun and have a few cold drinks with your best friends.

You can also admire many works of art by Viennese street artists along the sea wall.

Almost feels like Berlin’s East Side Gallery.

7. Culinary long-distance journey

As a large city, Vienna can of course also boast regional cuisines other than Austria's.

Whether it's a bit of la dolce vita, authentic Asian cuisine or street food from all over the world - foodies who don't have the money to travel will definitely get their money's worth in Vienna.

8. Beach bars – Danube Island and Danube Canal

Do you want exclusive beach clubs like in Miami or the Cote d'Azur?

Maybe they aren't quite as fancy in Vienna, but you can also end the evening in beach bars in Vienna on the Danube Island or on the Danube Canal.

Including sand, which you can still find six months later after the evening!

9. Town Hall – Hogwarts vibes

Strictly speaking, you can't go to Hogwarts even if you have a lot of money.

You can only go to Scotland to visit the filming location of the “Harry Potter” films.

However, the Vienna City Hall also has absolute Hogwarts vibes, especially at night with lighting.

And all for free!
