She was arrested and placed in police custody for
“violence with weapons”
by the Gironde gendarmes on Sunday.
A few hours earlier, while securing a hunt on the side of the road in Val-de-Virvée (a town located about thirty minutes by car from Bordeaux), a hunter had been attacked by an anti -hunting.
Driving on the main road, the latter stopped to express her opposition to this declared and authorized activity.
The first hunter had been joined by one of his comrades when his critic returned to him, equipped with a baseball bat and a tear gas canister, present in his car.
Although she was unable to use the first weapon - thanks to the intervention of a third hunter - the activist managed to gas her opponents while fleeing towards her car.

Two hunters hit by car
While a fourth hunter tried to hold her there while waiting for the police to arrive, the latter, at the wheel of her car, tried to flee by turning on the ignition, according to our sources.
During the maneuver, she hit a first fighter while reversing, then knocked down a second while going in the other direction.
Both were evacuated by firefighters to Libourne hospital.
“This case once again demonstrates the physical and verbal violence that hunters can suffer in the course of their activity
,” reacted the Gironde Departmental Federation of Hunters the day after the events.
“This has to stop!
No person should have to suffer violence because of differences of interest and opinion
,” thunders the institution, providing its full support to the hunters who are victims of this attack.
The anti-hunting activist arrested by the military -
apparently
sober at the time of the events - was already known to the gendarmerie services.
