   The students attended the lectio magistralis of the prof.


   Luciano Zani, member of the Mission Structure for the national anniversaries of Palazzo Chigi and full professor of Contemporary History at La Sapienza University, who underlined the importance of comparison as a moment of knowledge and reflection to preserve collective historical memory.

A precious opportunity to reflect on one of the deepest and most painful wounds that marked the history of the twentieth century.


    The jury, composed of Anna Paola Sabatini, general director of Usr Lazio, Colonel Francesco Sardone (UTCMD), second lieutenant Paolo Formiconi (UTCMD), Marco Trasciani, general secretary of Anfim, Dr. Antonella Cassisi (Referent for the Education Sector of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO), by Dr. Marianna D'Ovidio, by Dr.

Francesco Bovicelli, Dr. Consuelo Rosato, Carabinieri lieutenant Alessandro Ciotola (USR Lazio), had the difficult task of deciding who to award the prize to for each category in the competition: Kids (primary school), Junior (lower secondary school) and Senior (high school).


    The President of the Jury underlined that it was not at all easy to choose among the more than 50 works received, all of which were valuable and deserving. knowledge aimed at acquiring a healthy awareness for the present and the future.


   The prize for the Kids category was awarded to the IC ViaSalvatore Pincherle of Rome with the work entitled "The places of memory".

Thanks to the media partnership with Rai Radio and Rai Radio Kids, the latter has established a Special Prize for the Kids category which was awarded to the most radio-friendly work.

The special prize, awarded by a jury made up of authors, hosts and curators of Rai Radio Kids, was awarded to "Fly only those who dare - Robertino and the Rondini: the story of the Fosse Ardeatine" of the IC Villaggio Prenestino in Rome.

Rai Radio Kids, on the occasion of the awards ceremony, announced that the winners will spend "a day at Radio" in the company of Marco Di Buono, Arianna Ciampoli and the puppet DJ, attending the live show "Il Buongiorno di Radio Kids".


   The prize for the Junior category, however, was awarded to the IC Nelson Mandela of Rome with the work entitled "Unmartire: Renato Villoresi".


   Finally, the President of the Jury announced the name of the winner of the Senior category, designated unanimously, namely the Roberto Rossellini Cine-TV Institute of Rome for the work entitled "The Fosse Ardeatine massacre, the story that shocked Italy".


   The USR General Director for Lazio Anna Paola Sabatini thus announced that the winners of the Junior and Senior categories will participate in the commemorative ceremony of the massacre which will be held on March 22nd at the Mausoleum in Via Ardeatina in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.


   The jury also decided to assign honorable mentions to the IC Viale Venezia Giulia of Rome (Kids category), to the IC Padre Semeria of Rome (Junior category) and to the "Leonardo da Vinci" Technological Institute of Viterbo (Senior category).


   At the end, the USR general director for Lazio wanted to sanction the morning as follows: "Witnessing such a heartfelt and massive participation on the part of students, teachers and school managers gives us hope that, if appropriately guided and supported, the new generations will be able to attribute a value of common good to memory, with the awareness that only through conscious immersion in it can the process of empathy be activated".
