Lorenz Söhl has been at the forefront of the Eicherloh pipe club for 25 years.

Now he has handed over his position as chairman.

Eicherloh – 9185 days: That’s exactly how long Lorenz Söhl has been at the Eicherloh Pipe Club.

And for most of these 25 years he also held a position on the board - most recently as first chairman.

Söhl now handed this post over to his successor Andreas Hermansdorfer.

As the pipe club reports, Söhl joined on January 8, 1999.

Just two months later he was elected second chairman, and in 2013 he was promoted to club boss.

So far he has only been a member without office on the board for a month and 25 days.

In return, at the annual general meeting he was presented with a photo book entitled “9185 Days of Söhl Lorenz”, in which his past 25 years in the pipe club were recorded in pictures.

Andreas Hermansdorfer, who had previously been secretary since 2013, was elected as his successor.

The second chairman is Martin Richter and the treasurer is Thomas Kressirer.

The new secretary was Andreas Rath, who handed over his position as youth representative (since 2018) to Benedikt Albert (new).

The auditors are Christian Söhl and Hans Rath, the assessor is Robert Patzold.

Lorenz Söhl had previously submitted his last annual report as chairman.

Accordingly, the pipe club currently has 169 members.

Last year, the program included the 40th Father's Day football tournament against the Eicherloh fire department, a trip to Augsburg, the annual pork knuckle dinner and two club-internal Watt tournaments.

This year, football will be played against the firefighters again (May 9th), and the next club get-together will be on April 12th.

Finally, long-standing members were honored at the meeting, including three “Sechzgers”: Sigmar Arlt, Johann Laurent and Johann Frantz have each been in the club for 60 years.

Johann Teicht is 30 years old.

By the way, the Eicherloh pipe club was founded on March 7, 1955.

It is a voluntary and closed “association for the cultivation of customs and sociability”.

The club symbol is a smoking tobacco pipe, which must be marked with the club's coat of arms.

Each member must always carry the whistle with them.

A pipe club member can ask other members for the pipe, and if they do not carry the pipe, they may pay a small “fine.”

The 1st and 15th of a month are “pipe-free days” - you are not allowed to show your pipe here, as was the case at this year's annual general meeting.
