Tabernacle, the free trade treaty between the EU and Canada (Ceta) is in the hot seat!
The treaty, approved by the European Parliament in 2017, has been applied provisionally for seven years.
But although it was narrowly ratified in July 2019 by the National Assembly, the text was never submitted for ratification by senators.
Reason why, in a very unusual way, the communists included this government bill on the agenda during their parliamentary niche (day during which they control the agenda) on Thursday March 21.
With one objective: to reject it.
