He was angry.
But above all, he was drunk.
Those he insulted and threatened were police officers.
Reason why this thirty-year-old found himself, Monday, in the box of the Meaux criminal court.
He was tried in immediate appearance for - among other things - driving while drunk, contempt, rebellion and threats against holders of public authority.
It was Saturday afternoon, in Chelles, that the defendant – driving an Audi A3 which was not insured – refused to submit to checks on his alcohol content.

“I recognize everything.
It was not my intention to behave this way.
I would like to apologize,” the 30-year-old calmly explained to the court.
He said he didn't remember anything at all.
“How do we do with these explanations?

The thirty-year-old had just left a service station, driving his damaged Audi, swerved and crossed a solid line, when the police wanted to check him.
“He put the safety of other users at risk,” insisted the prosecutor.
Before requesting against the defendant, whose criminal record is starting to grow, a one-year prison sentence with suspended probation, including an obligation to undergo treatment.
“Appropriate” requisitions for defense lawyer Me Tania Mandé: “My client is sincere when he tells you that he does not remember.
He recognizes that he has a problem, he asks for care.”
The defendant was sentenced to eight months in prison with suspended probation.
His driving license was revoked, as requested by the prosecution.
He is prohibited from ironing it for a month.
