Highlights: Court bans police officer from internet presence as “officer”. Berlin Administrative Court ruled on Monday that the Chief Inspector was not allowed to act as ‘Officer Denny’ on various social media. The police officer's anger was triggered by a live stream in which he was on first name terms with Arafat Abou-Chaker, who is considered the Berlin clan boss. A detective goes by the name “Officer Denny” on social media.

His employer has a problem with this and sees damage to the police's reputation.

A ban follows.

A court confirms this.

Berlin - The controversial internet presence of a Berlin police officer remains banned.

The Berlin Administrative Court ruled on Monday that the Chief Inspector was not allowed to act as “Officer Denny” on various social media.

It thus confirmed a ban by the Berlin police authority, which had prohibited the officer from having such secondary employment.

From the court's point of view, this was legal because "official interests" would be impaired by the commissioner's appearances.

The man's lawsuit against his employer was therefore unsuccessful.

He had previously failed in two instances in summary proceedings.

The police officer's anger was triggered by a live stream in which he was on first name terms with Arafat Abou-Chaker, who is considered the Berlin clan boss.
