More than 300 people came to the typing campaign for the seriously ill Peter in Rudelzhausen on Sunday.
There was also an update on his health.
Rudelzhausen
– The popular Mainburg musician Peter suffers from a rare form of blood cancer and needs a stem cell donation as soon as possible.
The German Bone Marrow Donor Registry (DKMS) organization called for a typing campaign in Rudelzhausen last Sunday.
Citizens from two districts – Freising and Kelheim – showed a big heart.
Many of them registered to help Peter, but also other affected people, as a possible genetic twin.
Peter's two greatest wishes: to see his grandson Nils grow up and to finally marry his fiancée Margit.
In order to help him, the women Manuela and Julia Geschwindt, who are friends of the family, quickly took the initiative on their own.
With a lot of passion, they immediately contacted the DKMS in order to set up a typing campaign as quickly as possible.
Their commitment was clearly visible on Sunday: The two organizers really thought of everything - from snacks and cakes to small gifts for the donors in all variations, for example Playmobil figures, key rings, gummy bears and much more.
The presents were provided by numerous companies, including Rewe, Wolf Heizsbau and V-Markt, often with monetary donations.

“I just want to help,” explained Carolin Uttenreuther, who registered on Sunday and therefore carried out the oral swabs.
“It’s not all that bad,” said the young woman from Rudelzhausen, referring to the typification.
Uwe Schröpfl came especially from Wambach near Mainburg, who had read about the campaign in the newspaper and simply wanted to make a contribution.
Information about the senior’s health status
Around 100 citizens thought the same thing and therefore found their way to the gymnasium of the Rudelzhausen elementary school in order to be included in the DKMS database.
What touched Manuela and Julia Geschwindt, but also Peter's son Dominik and his wife Sabrina: a total of more than 300 people stopped by during the day because they were touched by the fate of the well-known musician.
Many of them have already been typecast, which is why they wanted to help with a monetary donation.
Around 800 euros were raised for the DKMS so that the organization can continue to provide free swab tests.
Manuela reported on Peter's current state of health during the typing campaign.
Given the circumstances, the Mainburg musician is doing well and has completed the first cycle of chemo.
He is currently in a regeneration phase.
For health reasons, he was unable to be there for the event.
He would like to thank them all the more for their great willingness to help.
