Italian energy group Enel said Mondayit had achieved 75% 'emission free' production in 2023.
Last year, the electrical power group said, it achieved 75 percent 'emission free' production (ie renewables plus nuclear), a 10 per cent increase over the previous year.
In particular, according to operational data released by thegroup, coal production fell by 45.5%.
In Italy, renewableproduction increased by around 21% compared to 2022. Whileelectricity production from conventional sources fell by 32%.
