The caucus in memory of the party victims killed in the October 7th massacre met this morning (Monday) in the Knesset together with representatives of the families, this at the initiative of Knesset members Efrat Reiten, Karin Elharer and Yitzhak Pindros and with the participation of Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.
The caucus discussed ways to preserve the memory of the brutal massacre they committed Hamas terrorists at the "Nova" nature party that took place near Kibbutz Reim. Family members of the murdered came to the discussion, who told the stories of their loved ones. The families were asked to bring with them belongings of their loved ones that were found at the party site after their murder, and they placed them on the floor of the lobby hall. Benny Salomon, the father of Healy, who was murdered at the party, said in the discussion that "the least is to commemorate them. It should be at the national level under the roof of government institutions."
Salomon shared the story of his daughter, who was 26 years old when she died.
"Everything that happened is unimaginable and contrary to all the values we grew up with. One of Hilly's last sentences to her sister Tal was that she 'feels like in the holocaust, they run through the forest and slaughter us indiscriminately.'"
He added, "Every morning reality smacks us in the face anew. She served as a sting fighter, we knew years of worry during the service and who believed that she would actually kill at a party."

Addressing the families who came to the rally, MK Elharar said: "It is impossible to underestimate the memory of the murdered men and women, and that is our goal.
This tragedy is great and this gathering is a platform for your voice, how you would like to see the commemoration."
MK Raiten added to the families: "We are here to try to take some of your pain. Everything is so that such disasters do not return.
The State of Israel needs to prevent disasters, but it is equally important to know how to stand up and accompany the victims of disasters, the families, to help them get through these difficult tragedies."
