With Sahra Wagenknecht, Björn Höcke and Gerhard Schröder, a fan club is forming around Chancellor Scholz and his no to Taurus deliveries that should give the SPD something to think about.

A comment by Georg Anastasiadis.

A nice fan club has gathered around the Chancellor and his famous SPD parliamentary group leader Rolf Mützenich!

Fear is being stirred up among the population, and the Greens and the FDP are also stunned by it

We don't know whether the SPD is embarrassed by so much applause from the wrong side.

But it should give the comrades, drunk on themselves and the Taurus surveys, something to think about.

Something has been slipping since the Chancellor spoke his Basta on the Taurus question and Mützenich in the Bundestag attributed “pecuniary” and “domestic” motives to dissidents and, in a scandalous distortion of the facts, acted as if peace negotiations with the West were failing - and not to Putin.

The fact that he immediately rejected negotiations as “ridiculous” does not affect the Social Democrats in their supposed peace mission, which in reality is a demand for the surrender of Ukraine and its people who are heroically fighting for freedom.

Mützenich's call for a "freeze" of the war is a clear change of course by Ukraine's largest European supporter country and a departure from both the allies and the Chancellor's turnaround rhetoric.

Solidity was yesterday.

Instead, together with Putin, they are now stirring up fear among their own population.

The Greens and the FDP are stunned by this, with potentially serious consequences for the cohesion of the traffic light.

But the “peace party” SPD is back to itself: where it was before the outbreak of war with its naive and dangerous romanticism of Moscow and in the 1950s with the big decisions about ties to the West, rearmament and military service, all of which were made by the Union were implemented against the resistance of the Social Democrats.

The SPD no longer wants to stop the aggressor, but rather appease him.

But that will only make him more dangerous once he's done with Ukraine.
