In February, a painting of a swastika was found in a restroom at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Next to the cross is the inscription in English: "Stop the genocide in Gaza".

The Hebrew University stated that "The Hebrew University shows zero patience for any manifestation of anti-Semitism. We take the incident very seriously. The matter was investigated and the address was immediately cleaned"

This is not the first case in which a swastika was drawn in the context of the war with Gaza.

With the beginning of the war, in the month of October, the residents of the Talfiot neighborhood in Jerusalem received a shipment to which was attached an envelope with a swastika drawn on it.

Also drawn on the envelope is the Israeli flag with a triangular finger pointing at it.

Mashfersal condemned the act in its entirety, and took steps against the employees suspected of the act.

"Shufersal views the incident very seriously and will show zero patience towards events of this type," the network said.

"The employee involved was located, immediately summoned to a hearing before dismissal and a complaint will be filed against him with the Israel Police. We apologize from the bottom of our hearts for the unusual incident and condemn such behavior."
