At the Super U in Châteauneuf-sur-Loire, a new textile department has just been created.
Alongside new items from the children's collection, there are second-hand clothes from 0 to 12 years old at low prices, from baby pajamas to little girls' dresses labeled Petit Bateau, Vert Baudet, Okaïdi, Tartine et Chocolat, etc.
The goal is to retain new customers.
“The new children's clothing segment is difficult for us because there is strong competition.
We believe a lot in second hand and we want to take advantage of it to boost our department,” explains Christine Pesnon, sector manager for non-food products.

In addition, the supply is local.
The clothes are provided by P'tites Z'occaz, a young company from Saint-Denis-en-Val (Loiret) specializing in the sale of second-hand clothing for children.
“We started with individuals, now we are tackling the professional market,” explains Julie Labbe, who created the company with Albane Pothain in 2020.
Infatuation
In their online store and their store in Saint-Denis-en-Val, the two entrepreneurs offer thousands of items at low prices, in perfect condition, of good quality and from premium brands.
To build up their stock, they buy from individuals, who deliver directly to the store or by parcel, and last year, they generated 70,000 euros in turnover.
At Super U, the new department got off to an excellent start, especially for baby clothes.
If the enthusiasm continues, the brand could extend the offer to a second store.
Les P'tites Z'occaz have also signed with a Parisian thrift store, particularly for the supply of formal clothing, and are now embarking on active prospecting to convince new customers.
