Months of surveillance to identify the traffickers' scheme.
Lyon police investigators dismantled a major deal point on avenue Irène Joliot Curie in Vénissieux, Tuesday March 12, as part of a clean-cut operation carried out by the prefecture with the reinforcement of numerous services.
More than seven kilos of cannabis, 230 ecstasy tablets and numerous other drugs were seized while three men aged between 19 and 24 were convicted of drug trafficking.
Having managed to identify the head of the deal point as well as two accomplices responsible for its resupply, the police arrested one of them in an apartment used as a storage location in the neighboring town of Saint-Priest.

Not counting 852 grams of 3-MMC, this synthetic drug producing effects close to those of amphetamines, and 9,000 euros in cash.
In addition to the confiscation of their loot, the traffickers - one of whom admitted the facts - received 20 months in prison for two of them and 18 months of suspended sentence for the third.
“New blow to drug trafficking”
The net operation carried out in Vénissieux over the past two weeks has made it possible to seize 31.4 kilos of drugs including 26.2 kilos of cannabis as well as 58,000 euros in cash and two handguns, specifies the Rhône prefecture.
The coordinated mobilization of Ofast, Raid, PJ, CRS but also the municipal police and the public transport operator Keolis enabled the control of 1,300 individuals and 220 vehicles.
