A newly elected board and some impressive figures are the result of the general meeting of the Erding Machinery and Business Support Ring, which met at the Bauer inn in Kirchasch.

Kirchasch - The inter-company organization has 1965 members, the field of activity ranges from classic machine brokerage to winter service and recycling.

And with the help of digitalization, we are already devoting ourselves to new tasks.

The Maschinenring is proud of its new digital offering “My Field”.

This project, which will be offered to its members free of charge for three years, is intended to make it easier for farmers to calculate their flood of data, i.e. to reduce mountains of paper in the office.

In addition, “performance reports can be submitted to the machine ring in the field using a smartphone, which used to be a lengthy paper process,” as managing director Martin Haindl explained.

Around 120 farmers came to hear his balance sheet.

“Although we have adjusted our number of members somewhat, the annual turnover for 2023 was still around 8.6 million euros, around 600,000 euros less than the year before,” said the Heckener.

This is mainly due to a decline in organic fertilization, which is expressed in figures as around 750,000 euros compared to the previous year with 1.1 million euros.

According to Haindl, the amount of manure spread in particular has decreased significantly.

In 2023, 49 contracting companies would have billed a total of over three million euros via the Maschinenring.

As far as personnel support for the companies is concerned, around 39,000 hours of social services and around 18,000 hours of economic help were billed by the company helpers; here too, a decline can be seen.

Six of these workers work independently, but without the help of the neighboring machine rings the need could not be met - “we are urgently looking for new company helpers who are committed”.

Personnel costs were therefore the largest item in the 2023 budget year, at around 300,000 euros out of a total volume of 432,000 euros.

The amount of income was in principle just as high, with membership fees (around 180,000 euros) and performance-related contributions (around 136,000 euros) dominating.

Ultimately, a homeopathic remainder of 520 euros remained in the ring's coffers.

Haindl also expects a cash volume of around 430,000 euros for the current year, with another slight increase in personnel costs.

The meeting accepted this proposal unanimously.

Haindl then said goodbye to two veterans: the employee Marianne Bart, who has been working for 35 years and whose successor Chiara Heindl is already in the service, and Paul Sedlmaier, his direct predecessor.

Both received gifts and an appreciation from the previous and re-elected chairman Günther Drobilitsch.

Sedlmaier thanked him with a humorous look back at his 36 years, accompanied by pictures from his long career in the machine ring.

The three members of the previous extended board, Max Myrt (20 years), Anton Lohmaier (10) and Bernhard Karrer (5), also left.
