Jérôme Banctel, at the La Réserve hotel (Paris) and Fabien Ferré (Le Castellet, Var) received the supreme distinction this Monday in Tours, alongside 60 other starred restaurants throughout France.


More than 700 chefs and players from the world of gastronomy were present this Monday afternoon at the Palais des Congrès des Tours for the France 2024 Michelin Guide star ceremony.

Two restaurants were awarded three stars, compared to only one last year (La Marine in Noirmoutier):

  • Le Gabriel, at the Hôtel La Réserve (Paris 8th), where chef Jérôme Banctel has been working since 2015.

  • La Table du Castellet, at the Hôtel & Spa du Castellet (Le Castellet, Var), entrusted since last year to Fabien Ferré, only 35 years old.

Eight restaurants earned their second star (compared to four in 2023):

  • Maison Benoît Vidal (Annecy, Haute-Savoie), of chef Benoît Vidal who is reconfirmed after his move from Val d'Isère.

  • Sylvestre Wahid - Les Grandes Alpes (Courchevel, Savoie), launched by chef Sylvestre Wahid at the end of 2021.

  • Maison Ronan Kervarrec (Saint-Grégoire, Ille-et-Vilaine), opened near Rennes by chef Ronan Kervarrec in 2021.

  • The Jules Verne (Eiffel Tower, Paris 7th), taken over in 2019 by Frédéric Anton, also triple-starred at Pré Catelan.

  • Maison Ruggieri (Paris 8th), opened in 2022 by Martino Ruggieri.

  • L'Orangerie (Hotel George V, Paris 8th) by Alan Taudon.

  • Mas Les Eydins (Bonnieux, Vaucluse), where Christophe Bacquié moved last year after his departure from Le Castellet.

  • Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac (Monaco), which Christophe Cussac has just reopened at the Hôtel Le Métropole.

  • The Art of Living (Narbonne, Aude)

  • La Galinette (Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales)

  • In the Wild (Quint-Fonsegrives, Haute-Garonne)

  • The Saint Hilaire (Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas, Gard)

  • The Bastide of Moustiers (Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence)

Special prizes were also awarded:

  • The service to Sandrine Deley Favario (director of the restaurant L'Auberge de Montmin in Talloires-Montmin) and to Serge Schaal (director of the restaurant La Fourchette des Ducs in Obernai).

  • Sommellerie to Xavier Thuizat (restaurant director and head sommelier of the L'Ecrin restaurant in Paris) and Magali Delalex (head sommelier of La Table de l'Ours in Val-d'Isère).

  • The young chef to Théo Fernandez, chef of the Auberge de la Forge in Lavalette

  • The chef mentor to Yannick Alléno

Finally, eight establishments join the Passion Dessert selection which distinguishes the sweet score:
