The flight to Dubai ends early for around 190 passengers on the Lufthansa scheduled flight from Frankfurt.
In Greece, the pilot initiated an emergency landing.
Frankfurt – Shock for passengers on the Lufthansa plane on Monday (March 18) from Frankfurt Airport to Dubai: The plane had to make an emergency landing in Greece because of smoke in the cabin.
This is reported by Focus, among others, citing information from Frankfurt airport operator Fraport.
The incident is the second of its kind in a short time: It was only on March 9th that a Lufthansa plane had to make an emergency landing at Hamburg Airport after taking off from Frankfurt because of smoke in the cabin.

Three hours after takeoff: Lufthansa plane has to make an emergency landing
Accordingly, the pilot requested an emergency landing on the island of Rhodes.
For the 190 passengers on board the plane, according to Fraport, the flight to the United Arab Emirates ended abruptly after just over three hours.
The Airbus A333 took off from Frankfurt Airport at around 12:30 p.m. and came to a standstill at Rhodes Airport at 3:41 p.m., as data from the flightradar24 portal shows.
LH630 was scheduled to land in Dubai at 6:55 p.m.
According to the Focus report, the passengers were safely taken off the plane in Rhodes.
According to initial information, a technical defect could have caused the smoke on board.
Meanwhile, the emergency landing has an impact on Lufthansa's upcoming scheduled flight between Frankfurt and Dubai.
The connection on Tuesday (March 19) has already been canceled.
