A fresh, second video of a Modenapolice officer apparently slapping a man after arresting him has resulted in the officer being subjected to a strict liability review, police sources said after the video, which dates to a year ago, was published on Monday after the first one on March13 .
"A rigorous examination of disciplinary responsibilities wasimmediately started against the officer", said the GeneralCommand of the Carabinieri after the publication of the newvideo in which a man stopped by a patrol is apparently slapped by the same Carabiniere from Modena who had already been filmed in a similar circumstance .
The general command has "only now" become aware of the incident and the video dates back to a year ago.
"Also in this case - continues the Carabinieri - as soon as the video became known, it was promptly transmitted to the judicial authority".
