The "Berlin Dialogue on Energy Transition (Betd)" will be held on Tuesday 19 March in the German capital, in which over 90 states will participate.
The summit aims to identify the measures necessary to achieve the climate objectives agreed at an international level.
This year's title of the event is "Accelerating the Global Energy Transition".
Italy will be represented by the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin.
In Berlin we will discuss the most effective practices for abandoning coal and making mobility, infrastructure, industry and buildings net zero emissions.
This year there are over 2,000 participants in the Conference, from more than 90 countries, with around 50 Foreign and Energy Ministers and 100 high-level speakers.
Minister Pichetto Fratin and the Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economy and Climate Protection of the Federal Republic of Germany, Robert Habeck, will sign a bilateral intergovernmental solidarity agreement between the two countries on gas matters.
On the same topic, the signing of a trilateral Addendum between Italy, Switzerland and Germany is also expected.
Minister Pichetto Fratin will participate in two round tables which will also serve to illustrate the agenda of the Italian G7 presidency for climate and environment and the focus on Africa, energy security and decarbonisation.
