This year, the strong beer festival in Malching was primarily dedicated to one topic: beer - including the brewery insolvency and the cancellation of the folk festival.

Malching – This time the “Cheers to Coziness” was particularly heartfelt and more frequent than last year.

Almost as if they wanted to give themselves courage for the future of the Maisach brewery.

This was also how Jakob Staffler's almost passionate appeal was to be understood: "Everyone's really here today so that beer can continue in Maisach," said the chairman of the Malching-Germerswang veterans' association, who had invited people to the strong beer festival in the Angerwirt. the around 200 visitors.

Audience is included

And so the Maisacher beer, which was served at the Angerwirt, was enthusiastically received.

But that wasn't necessary to raise the mood.

This was ensured by the play that dealt with the end of the Maisach folk festival - in the form of the Royal Bavarian District Court, a television program that ran in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

However, the Malchingers accompanied the text spoken by Gustl Bayrhammer (“it was a lovely time”) with Royal Highness Söder and Maisach dignitaries – including laughter in the audience.

And the actors incorporated this into their performance several times.

“Stand up.” In any case, the entire hall followed the usher’s announcement.

As was the case later with the verdict.

The two firemen Thomas (Florian Scharte, left) and Sepp (Gottfried Obermair) are amazed at a lot of what has happened in the past year.

But before that, Gottfried Obermair, portrayed brilliantly by Thomas Wörl, was allowed to try his hand at being the savior of the Maisach folk festival.

“We just need a driving force,” he said and first pulled the Green Party politician Anton Hofreiter out of the hat, and then preferred to present the skiing pop singer Hansi Hinterseer, whom he also portrayed.

The mayor, whom Sebastian Staffler played, was meanwhile indicted by the Royal Bavarian District Court: “What do you have to say about the low attendance and low beer consumption?” The head of the municipality squirmed a little.

“Perhaps an agricultural festival, we have enough cattle,” came the message from the stage.

“Otherwise, use AI – no idea.

“I have been working successfully with this for years.” The verdict was, of course, mild.

“By not visiting you’re all punished gnua.”

Firefighters comment again

Florian Scharte and Gottfried Obermair were a little more behind-the-scenes and, as in the previous year, as firefighters Thomas and Sepp, they commented on what was happening in Maisach in general and in Malching in particular.

However, a certain insider knowledge was required for this.

That wasn't necessary with the Luitpold Musicians' Gstanzln.

“Because we don’t just get around in the community.” They musically described their excursions and appearances in big politics.

There were a few claps.

“When it came to the music request, Söder made a U-turn.

It was clear, it was clear.” And the Social Democrats would have been asked in vain about their favorite song.

“Forgotten, it was clear, it was clear.”

The trio Tanja Ottilinger, Birgit Strauß and Margit Vötter then returned to the actual topic of the evening, beer.

They made the innkeeper's clock move forward hour by hour - always with the saying: "Geh weida, trink ma no a Hoibe."

At the end, the real mayor Seidl called out to the actors and musicians: “Keep and maintain cohesion.” So the Malching strong beer festival doesn’t have to hide at all from larger ones of its kind.

Nothing like sayings - a selection

“Ah, you moan that the brewery is going Italian, so Perle-Birra.” (Sepp alias Obermair)

“You know the farmer’s rule: If the farmer’s son runs without shoes, the subsidy was too small.” (Thomas alias Scharte)

Interesting!

But there’s no money for flowers at the town hall.” (Sepp alias Obermair)

“Willi had tested this in the church.”

He mixed cannabis in the incense barrel at a mass.

I wonder how generous the churchgoers were.” (Sepp alias Obermair)

“Seidl said we don’t need gender.

Because we don’t have any stars on our local council anyway.” (Thomas alias Scharte)

“The Reitmayr or the Simon-Kraus just sit reverently in the local council meeting and only listen to Seidl Hans discussing things with himself.” (Sepp alias Obermair)

“The priest sits in the confessional and hears what we would like to know.” (Magistrate alias Thomas Käser)

“I’m getting witness money now?” – “The community treasury is empty.” (Veronika Furtner as Franziska Ochs).

“Whenever I drink too much beer, I plan major projects.” (Sebastian Staffler as Hans Seidl).
