This is a wonderful gift for the 10th anniversary of the Women Safe and Children association, born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) and supported by the DAPAT endowment fund.

She received the medal from the society of members of the Legion of Honor, this Monday, March 18, at the Rond-Point theater in Paris (8th arrondissement).

“Any reward is a reward for the team, the women who trusted us, and their children,” says the president and founder, Frédéric Martz.

To act as early as possible in the event of violence, Women Safe and Children has just created its training organization: the Women Safe academy.

They work in particular in companies, in order to help professionals identify situations of violence, understand the mechanisms and acquire the right reflexes.

Since 2022, the association has already trained more than 5,000 people in Yvelines, including 400 police officers.

“We started with interested police officers, then we had to capture those who were not receptive,” assures the president, chosen to carry the flame of her commitment during the Olympic Games.

Often, victims file complaints and are not questioned appropriately.

This training allows us to understand the impact of violence on the victims' brains.

This training allows the association to better finance the care of victims... And to expand its network.

An endowment fund supported by many personalities

Because, for the association's projects, money is needed... Subsidies, of course, but also private financing.

This is where the DAPAT endowment fund comes in, named after its founders DA for Danielle and PAT for her husband Patrick.

This fund, created three years ago, finances associations helping women in distress.

Every year, prizes reward new initiatives.

This fund is supported by many personalities, including Francis Huster, Daniela Lumbroso, Adriana Karembeu, Claudia Tagbo and Philippe Candeloro.

This year 120 associations applied, presenting their projects to help women in distress.

Five associations received the Society of Members of the Legion of Honor (SMLH) medal: the Maison des femmes in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), Viffil, SOS femmes in Villeurbanne (Rhône).

And three in Île-de-France: Women Safe and Children in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), the Champs de Booz in Paris and Ikambere in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis).

Five other associations have been designated DAPAT's favorites and are rewarded with a check for around 10,000 euros.

An association also present in Corsica and Haute-Savoie

“We reward seriousness, courage, tenacity, merit, the quality of people and results,” explains Danielle de Giovanni, 79, received the Legion of Honor of the Order of Merit for her commitment to women in distress and entrepreneurs.

It is the highlighting of associations by people who themselves have had the Legion of Honor.

Women Safe And Children has been helping child victims of all forms of violence since 2017. “We cannot treat a woman if she is heartbroken without her children,” assures Danielle de Giovanni.

The association was able to innovate by also helping their children.

When you innovate, there is no line in the budget, that's where DAPAT comes in.

The Giovanni couple's endowment fund will provide support in the development of new branches in France.

Currently, the Yvelines association is present in Corsica and Haute-Savoie, more in rural areas, in need of medical help.
