His manager Sandy Joseph confirmed that he died this Tuesday, March 19, in Vermont.
He was 88 years old.
In Ridley Scott's 1982 film
Blade Runner
, Walsh was the chief of the Los Angeles police force, where Harrison Ford's character Deckard hunted replicants.
Other starring roles included a corrupt sheriff in the 1986 comedy-horror film
Critters
and a small role as a security guard in
Razors and Secrets
, opposite Daniel Craig, Don Johnson and Ana de Armas.
Raised in Swanton, Vermont, Walsh made his film debut in the film
Alice's Restaurant
in 1969.
